Defining Drawing Settings

The Drawing Settings page of the Options dialog box lets you set the behavior of certain drawing commands, the appearance of certain drawing entities, the unit system of the current drawing, and manage Custom Coordinate Systems (CCSs).

To set the behavior of certain drawing commands and set line scale options:

  1. Click Tools > Options (or type Options).
  2. Click Tools > Options (or type Options).
  3. Click Application menu > Preferences (or type Options).
  4. In the Options dialog box, click Drawing Settings .

    - or -

    Type DrawingSettings.
  5. Expand Behavior and select or clear Enable relative dimensions. This specifies that dimensions you create are associated to the measured entities.
  6. Expand LineStyle Parameters and set:
  7. Expand Drawing Boundary and set:
  8. Click OK.

To set display options:

  1. Click Tools > Options (or type Options).
  2. Click Tools > Options (or type Options).
  3. Click Application menu > Preferences (or type Options).
  4. In the Options dialog box, click Drawing Settings .

    Type DrawingSettings.
  5. Expand Display and set:
  6. Expand Coordinate System Icon and set:
  7. Click OK.
