Setting 3D Mouse Options
[Windows® version]
[Windows® version]
You can customize 3D mouse navigation.
To set 3D mouse options:
- Select 3D Mouse > Options (or type 3DMouseOptions).
- In the 3D Mouse Options dialog box, specify options:
- In Sensitivity:
- use the slider to set the sensitivity of the 3D mouse (between low, 0%, and high, 100%)
- set the Dominant mode. Filters out all motion except for data coming from the axis that is actuated the most.
- In Velocity/Speed:
- use the slider to adjust the smoothness of reacting to mouse cap movements (between slow, 1%, and fast, 100%).
- In General:
- set Zoom/Pan to use the 3D mouse to zoom in and out and to pan the drawing to four directions (left, right, up, and down)
- set Rotate to use the 3D mouse to rotate the model
- If you activate both options, you can pan, zoom, and rotate simultaneously.
- If you disable both options, you cannot perform any movements with the 3D mouse.
- In Zoom Direction:
- select either Vertical or Horizontal:
- Horizontal means that you have to twist or tilt the 3D mouse cap to zoom.
- Vertical means that you have to push or pull the 3D mouse cap to zoom. In this mode you can pan left and right, and up and down by twisting and tilting the mouse cap.
- In Axis:
- select either Clockwise or Counterclockwise.
- Clockwise means that rotating the drawing follows the rotation direction of the 3D mouse cap. Also, when panning with the 3D mouse, the visible portion of the drawing moves to the left when you twist the 3D mouse cap, and vice versa.
- Counterclockwise means that rotating the drawing is performed against the direction of the rotation of the 3D mouse cap. When panning, the visible portion of the drawing moves contrary to the twist direction of the 3D mouse cap.
- Click OK.
